Classic Cheese Sauce

Makes 1L approximately

Ingredients:

  • 400ml vegetable stock

  • 500g Barker’s Professional Cream Style Meal Base

  • 40g Dijon mustard         

  • sea salt

  • freshly milled black pepper

  • 200g grated gruyere/smoked cheese

Method:

  1. In a saucepan, add the vegetable stock, Barker’s Professional Cream Style Meal Base, mustard, salt and pepper.

  2. Bring this pan to a simmer.

  3. Whisk in the cheese until dissolved.
