Savoury Cheese Scones with Caramelised Onion

Ingredients:

  • 300g plain flour

  • 90g butter

  • 14g baking powder

  • 5g salt

  • 200g milk

  • 90g grated cheese

  • 25g parmesan cheese

  • 150g Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Breadshot

Method:

  1. Rub the flour, butter, baking powder, salt and cheeses together to form a sandy texture with no lumps of butter remaining.

  2. Add the milk and Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Breadshot into the sandy mixture and combine to form a dough – avoid overmixing.

  3. Roll the dough out to 25mm thickness and cut as desired.

  4. Lightly egg wash the top surface and bake at 200⁰C for approximately 12 minutes.
