Giant Sausage Roll

Ingredients

  • 450g Sausage meat

  • 270g Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Relish

  • 2 sheet Flaky pastry

  • 1 Egg

  • to sprinkle Sesame seeds

  • to sprinkle Cumin

  • to sprinkle Caraway seeds

Method

  1. Mix the Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Relish and sausage meat well.

  2. Place half of the mixture on each pastry sheet in a log in the centre and fold pastry over to form a large roll.

  3. Seal the joins with a little water.

  4. Turn over so that the seam is underneath.

  5. Make several diagonal slashes through the pastry and brush with beaten egg.

  6. Sprinkle over some seeds, a mixture is nice.

  7. Place on a baking tray and bake at 200°C for 20-30 minutes until golden and cooked through.

  8. Serve with vegetables and a dollop of Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Relish
